CENSORS BOARD OKAYS 10,440 FILMS IN 16 YEARS


NOT LESS THAN 10,440 HOME VIDEO FILMS have been okayed for viewing by the National Film and Video Censors Board in the last 16 years since the board came into existence.Investigation carried out by Starconnect Media showed that there has been a drop in the total number films produced in the country and approved for viewing by the board.  We gathered that film production and classification peaked in 2002 with a total of 2,046 films produced and classified followed by 2005 with a total of 1,808 films.
