Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) has commended the Economic & Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for pledging to wage a forceful war against copyright infringement in Nigeria. In a letter to the Executive Chairman, EFCC, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde,  COSON Chairman, Mr. Tony Okoroji said news about the commission’s preparedness to wage war against infringement of copryright materials in Nigeria was received with happiness.“Your understanding of the destructive nature of the abuse of Nigeria’s creative industries and the appreciation that copyright infringement is an economic crime doing great damage to the fiscal health of our nation are consistent with the views which COSON has repeatedly expressed’, he said in the letter.
