SECURITY IN LAGOS: FASHOLA SPENDS N8.7 BILLION IN SIX YEARS

·         “We are bound to make those sacrifices that will ensure  security and safety of our State”, says Governor FasholaThe Lagos State Government has, through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) spent a total of N8.7 billion on the various security agencies operating in the State in the last six years, the State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN) disclosed Tuesday in Lagos.Governor Fashola, who made the disclosure in his keynote address at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island venue of the 6th Annual Town Hall Meeting with the theme, “Growing our investment in security”,  said the State Government has also provided, to date, over 85 percent of assets currently in use by the various security agencies in the State.

“Together we have provided, through the Fund, equipment and logistics valued at N8.7 billion for the Police and other security agencies in our dear State”, Governor Fashola said adding that the commitment to and achievement of the Government and people of the State in the area of security has made the State’s security model a standard to other states in the country.  Details in Features.
