The scene was that of unreserved celebration and jubilation at the National Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 as gaily dressed musicians from every corner of Nigeria thronged the national edifice for the extra- ordinary general meeting of Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON).

The only item on the agenda at the meeting was to pass a resolution for the distribution of the whopping sum of N100 million to the members and affiliates in the register as at May 19, 2012.In his address which was intermittently interrupted by thunderous ovation, COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji said, ‘We are gathered here Fatai Rolling Dollars and Chief Tony Okorojito give impetus to one of the most famous slogans now in Nigeria, the now popular COSON slogan, ‘Let the Music Pay!’

‘All over Nigeria today, on radio and television, our slogan, Let the Music Pay!is blaring continuously as COSON becomes a formidable Nigerian brand.  I have no doubt that when we are done this afternoon, our society will be much stronger and across the length and breadth of the country many more will hear the reverberations of our famous slogan, Let the music pay!’ More in features
