FILM makers in the country
have been urged to use the business of film making to evolve a culture of patriotism among Nigerians. Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Parastatals Monitoring Prince Gboyega Salvador- Adebayo made the call while speaking at a film forum in Lagos.
He said filmmakers must use the medium to spur Nigerians to love their nation and take Nigeria out of its current problems. The film medium, he said should be used to sensitise people on the need for mutual respect so as to promote national growth and cohesion. Adebayo charged filmmakers to make high quality films so as to gain international acceptance. He called on filmmakers to focus on exporting the rich culture of the Nigerian people through films to the rest of the world.
