STOP THE FIGHT, KING WALEMAN TELLS COSON, MCSN, NCC

CHAIRMAN, GOVERNING COUNCIL Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) in Kano State, King Waleman, reputed for the evergreen lyrics, ‘If You Need A Woman, Raise Up Your Hands’ has appealed to Copyright Society of Nigeria(COSON), Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria(MCSN) and the Nigerian Copyright Commission(NCC) to withdraw all pending cases filed against each other from the courts, and come together to form one strong body.

Waleman who spoke to Starconnect Media in Lagos said engaging in endless fight will not take the industry anywhere adding that the industry belongs to all.  “We are in thesame field, You cannot chase anybody away from the industry”, he said.  The musician who was happy that COSON distributed N100 million to musicians described the development as a stepping stone. He said he is going into studio to work on his next album, which he said will feature Sound Sultan.
