CHAIRMAN, GOVERNING COUNCIL, Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) in Kano State, Adewale Johnson Olatunji better known as King Wale Man says musicians were subjected to a lot of hardship during the eight year reign of Alhaji Ibrahim Shekerau as governor of Kano State. He said the former governor who ruled the state with Sharia law made dancing with members of the opposite sex a taboo and almost snuffed life out of music. He spoke to Starconnect when he visited Lagos State recently. See excerpts in Interview.
