The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola today
showered a whopping sum of N59 million on the victorious Super Eagles at the just concluded African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in South Africa.
A breakdown of the figures shows that coach of the team, Mr. Stephen Keshi, got the sum of N2.5 million, while Assistant Coach of the Super Eagles, Mr. Daniel Amokachi got N2 million while Captain of the team, Mr. Joseph Yobo got the sum of N1.5 million.
Besides, the four assistant coaches got the sum of N1.5 million each. The twenty-two members of the team got the sum of N1million each and N500, 000 per goal for each of the eleven goals scored by the Super Eagles during the tournament, while a lump sum of N15 million was donated to the backroom staff of the Super Eagles and N4. 5 million dropped for the vivacious Dr. Rauf Oladipo led Supporters Club, bringing the sum total to N59 million.
