Lagos State Government has called on filmmakers in the country to translate their films into international languages such as Spanish, French and Greek among others. Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Intergovernmental Relations, Mr. Ashamu Fadipe made the remarks at the launch of Awure-Eni, the first Nigerian movie denominated in Yoruba Language to be produced in 3D.
In her remarks, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Tourism and Intergovernmental Relations, Mrs. Ranti Alebiosu said the film industry is one of the most vibrant industries in the country that can correct ills in the society. She called on practitioners
to be alive to their responsibility to the society. Among those present at the event were Kareem Adepoju (a.k.a) Baba Wande and Yinka Quadri.
