LAGOS BEGINS SALE OF 2013 UMRAH AND HAJJ FORMS

In order to ensure a smooth operation of year 2013 Lesser Hajj (Umrah) and Hajj proper, the Lagos State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board would commence the sale of forms from 18th February 2013 till 25th February 2013. This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Kamal Sanusi, who  urged all interested persons to proceed to Zenith Bank, GRA, Ikeja Branch for the payment of N5,000 (Five Thousand Naira)only and later present the blue teller in exchange for Umrah Form at the Board’s Secretariat, Blocks 22 & 23, Oba Akinjobi Street, GRA, Ikeja.

According to him, payments for Hajj forms are in two folds, beginning with pre-screening form of  N2, 000 (Two Thousand Naira) only and Hajj form for N5, 000 (Five Thousand Naira) only. However it should be noted that success at pre-screening stage would be a pre-requisite for the purchase of the second form of N5, 000. The Secretary disclosed that deposit for this year’s hajj is N650, 000 (Six Hundred and fifty thousand Naira) as part payment, while balance would be announced later.  In addition, he affirmed that the State Government has approved 1000 seats to first timers in line with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s directive.

Alhaji Sanusi stated that consideration would be given to residents of Lagos State upon the presentation of the following documents: national identity card or census card or registration card. The Secretary urged interested persons to explore the possibility of instalmental payment option  available at Skye Bank, Ikeja.
