The sordid tale of how Havana Hospital broke Hippocratic oath by failing to attend to late Secretary of Actors Guild of Nigeria(AGN), Mr. Lugard Onoyemu because those who brought him could not pay N300,000 as deposit.
Former Secretary, Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Lagos State chapter, Mr. Lugard Onoyemu died February 14th, 2013, when many were celebrating love. Onoyemu slumped at the National Stadium where he was training, preparing for a football match between AGN and the Sun Newspapers. He was rushed to Havana Hospital, Surulere, Lagos, but officials on duty refused to attend to the man who was panting, gasping for breath because those who brought him could not cough out the sum of N300,000 they demanded as deposit. He was however rushed to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, where he was confirmed dead.
