CHAIRMAN MUSICAL COPYRIGHT SOCIETY OF NIGERIA (MCSN) Mr. Orits Wiliki says he will fight on until more collecting management organisations are approved by the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC).

Wiliki who spoke in Lagos said he finds it difficult to understand why the NCC will approve only one Copyright Management Organisation (CMO) for the music industry, when government is working hard to bring in more players in other sectors to avoid monopoly. He said he will continue to fight in the next twenty years until more CMOs are approved for the industry.

He said the Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria(MCSN), under his leadership tried for more than ten years to look at ways to  work with Chief Tony Okoroji of the Performing Musical Rights Society(PMRS) which has now metamorphosed into Copyright Society of Nigeria(COSON) but that  the efforts were fruitless.
