Whereabout of kidnapped Chief Press Secretary to former Governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and current Chairman, Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Kehinde Bamigbetan is still unknown five days after he was abducted.
We gathered that ransom has been paid but the affected chairman is still being held by his abductors in an unknown destination. It was not clear how much has been paid out of the N158 million demanded by the kidnappers. But family sources are optimistic that he will be released as soon as possible. But the Lagos State Government has assured Nigerians that they are on top of the situation.
Speaking to Starconnectmedia in Lagos, Commissioner for information and Strategy, Mr. Remi Ibirogba said government is working hard to ensure that he is released and called on residents of the state to pray fervently for safety of the chairman. He was whisked away by his abductors late Monday night at exactly 11PM in Ejigbo at the point of navigating into his street, Ona Iwa Mimo Street, Ori Oke just before the Egbe Bridge, in Ejigbo aboard his black Ford Everest jeep with registration number, KOK in company of his driver, Biodun Olayiwola. The kidnappers were said to have shot sporadically into the air to scare passersby before bolting away with the helpless chairman in another vehicle.
