Kidnapped former Chief Press Secretary to former Governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and current Chairman, Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Kehinde Bamigbetan has reunited with his family few hours after he was set free by his abductors.
He united with his family at 11 PM on Saturday night after six days of harrowing experience in the hands of his abductors. He told journalists in Lagos today that the kidnappers drove him for about four hours in under blindfold. Although he failed to disclose details of how he was released, he said the abductors forced him to take water melon and drink water, adding that they acknowledged that he was a good man. He could not disclose how much was paid to secure his release out of the N158 million demanded by the kidnappers.
Shouts of joy were said to have heralded his arrival at his home as well-wishers who had kept a vigil for his return, took to their kneels thanking God for his mercies.
He was whisked away by his abductors late Monday night at exactly 11PM in Ejigbo at the point of navigating into his street, Ona Iwa Mimo Street, Ori Oke just before the Egbe Bridge, in Ejigbo aboard his black Ford Everest jeep with registration number, KOK in company of his driver, Biodun Olayiwola. The kidnappers were said to have shot sporadically into the air to scare passersby before bolting away with the helpless chairman in another vehicle.
