The first suspension bridge built by Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola linking Ikoyi, Alexander with Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola will handover the Admiralty Alexander (Lekki-Ikoyi) suspension link bridge tomorrow Wednesday, 29th May, 2013. Toll will be collected from those using the bridge to escape terrible traffic in Victoria Island.

A statement signed by Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Kayode Opeifa said that access to the venue will be through Lekki Phase 1 (Gate 1 & 2) as part of the traffic management strategies adding that adequate provision have been made for on-street parking at adjoining streets within Lekki Phase 1 Estate where shuttle buses will convey guests to the venue of the programme.

He called for the co-operation of residents of the adjoining streets of Wole Olateju Crescent, Onikepo Akande Street, Rasheed Alaba Williams Street, Adebayo Doherty Street including the inner streets to ensure free flow of traffic in the area.
