Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola has approved Wednesday, 12th June, 2013 as a work free day for workers in Lagos State.
The governor made the declaration in a circular issued today by the Head of Service, Mr. Adesegun Ogubnlewe.
According to the circular, the governor approved the day as part of activities to mark June 12, 1993 election believed to have been won by the late Arekakanfo of Yorubaland, Chief MKO Abiola.The state government described the day as significant in the actualization of democracy in Nigeria.

“It is hereby notified for general information that His Excellency, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN, the Governor of Lagos State has approved Wednesday, 12th June, 2013 as a work free day”, the circular said and enjoined all workers in the State to attend events organized by various government agencies and group to commemorate the day.
