A Honda car with registration number, KK 431 EKY on Friday afternoon crashed into a stationery towing van on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos, Nigeria. The vehicle was approaching the old Lagos tour gate from the Lagos Island and crashed before Iyanaovoro.
The car driver, according to Mr. Sanusi an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), arrived at a very high speed and suddenly lost control on seeing the stationery vehicle leaving him with no option but to go under.
He said no life was lost but the Honda was severely damaged and was at the verge of being towed from the scene when Starconnect Media got to the scene. The incident however engendered heavy traffic, making motorist spend almost an hour on the bridge.
