Queen Latifah’s production company, Flavor Unit Entertainment announced today that Latifah has signed a deal with Netflix. The amount in the deal is not yet made public but the multi-year deal will give Netflix priority over titles from her production company with effect from this spring. Latifah launched Flavor Unit in New Jersey with Shakim Compere.

The company has produced films such as “Bringing Down the House” and “Just Wright,” both starring Latifah. It also produced the HBO film “Life Support,” which earned a Golden Globe Award for Latifah. Latifah described Netflix as a strong brand and the perfect place to showcase her projects. Latifah’s outfit is currently producing Terrence Howard thriller “House of Bodies” and “Percentage,” which features Ving Rhames and Macy Gray.
